Bad weather is no reason to mope in Baden-Baden – quite the opposite. The town is famous for its spas and museums, and there's plenty more to experience indoors. Our favourite ideas for rainy days.
Spas: warm bathing while it rains outside
Nothing beats cosy warmth on a rainy day: the modern Caracalla Spa offers indoor and outdoor pools, a current channel and a sauna world. If you prefer tradition, treat yourself to the historic Friedrichsbad – a Roman-Irish bath from 1877 in magnificent surroundings.

Museums & art
Baden-Baden has a remarkable density of museums. The Museum Frieder Burda and the neighbouring Staatliche Kunsthalle show modern and contemporary art, the LA8 museum is devoted to 19th-century culture, and the town museum tells the story of the spa town.
Casino, Trinkhalle & strolling
The Casino Baden-Baden is considered one of the most beautiful in the world – a guided tour is worthwhile even without gambling. Opposite, the Trinkhalle with its colonnades and frescoes invites a dry walk and a coffee.

Indoors with children
There's an indoor programme for families too: the Miniature World with model railway and café (partly closed in summer), the Toccarion music discovery world for children, bowling or the cinema. You'll find more family tips in our article “Baden-Baden with children”.
