With children, Baden-Baden and its surroundings are never boring: from animals in the forest to the historic funicular, play worlds and water fun. Here are our tips for families – matching our family-friendly apartments.
Nature & animals
A free highlight is the wildlife park in the town forest, where you can watch red deer and more – ideal for a little hike with children. Close by and educational is the bee trail, where young and old discover the world of bees in a playful way.

At the Toccarion music discovery world, children can try out instruments and explore the world of music. The Miniature World delights with detailed model layouts (partly closed in summer). For rainy days there are indoor playgrounds such as Elis Spielschloss or Okidoki in Bühl.

Active & outdoors
The historic Merkur funicular takes you up Baden-Baden's local mountain – at the top, views, a playground and paragliders to watch await. Get sporty at the Alpine Club climbing centre or go bowling. In summer, the Steinbach open-air pool nearby is a classic.
